HOME BUYERS FINAL WALK-THROUGH CHECKLIST

WHEN DOING YOUR FINAL WALK THROUGH, IT IS IMPORTANT TO GO OVER THE FOLLOWING CHECKLIST.  THIS WILL ALSO HELP YOU GET A BETTER REPORT WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR HOME INSPECTION DONE AS WELL!

  1. ALL APPLIANCES ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER
  2. NO SELLER’S POSSESSIONS, GARBAGE OR DEBRIS IS LEFT BEHIND
  3. THERE ARE NO MOVING OUT DAMAGES CAUSED TO THE HOUSE
  4. ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS WORK PROPERLY
  5. ALL LIGHTING FIXTURES ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND HAVE WORKING LIGHTBULBS
  6. THE PLUMBING WORKS PROPERLY AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS
  7. THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER IS WORKING
  8. THE HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS ARE FUNCTIONAL
  9. CHECK FOR EXTERIOR DAMAGE TO THE HOME OR THE LANDSCAPING
  10. ARE ALL OWNERS MANUALS AND WARRANTIES AVAILABLE

PLEASE NOTE, THAT YOU ARE NOT DOING A HOME INSPECTION.  THE WALK THROUGH IS JUST A WAY TO ENSURE THAT THE HOME YOU ARE BUYING IS IN THE CONDITION YOU CONTRACTED TO BUY IT.  IT IS STILL VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE A HOME INSPECTION DONE BEFORE BUYING A HOME TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE BUYING A HOME THAT IS IN WORKING ORDER OR AT LEAST HAS WARRANTIES AVAILABLE ON DEFICIENCIES THAT NEED TO BE FIXED.  SO PLEASE, FOR YOUR BEST INTEREST, CALL AND SCHEDULE YOUR HOME INSPECTION 817-637-6837!
